Short Bio
I am a concept artist with the skilcraft of a film art director, the hands of a traditional fine artist, and twenty four years of experience in the film industry.
I possess a Bachelor’s and Master's degree in Fine Arts from the Real Academia de Bellas Artes in Seville. Where I crafted disciplines such anatomy, art history, life drawing, painting and modelling. The university is one of the most traditional and important training centres of Spain, whose origin dates back to the 17th century.
Although I am rooted in tradition, I have embraced the digital technology. 3D modelling and digital painting are the base of my craft and often my job is to bridge the gap between on-set production and VFX, helping to design and visualise the VFX challengers.
But it is in the ability to understand and adapt my designs to different styles where I set my mark, working from realism to cartoon, always with a keen eye for composition, light and mood.

ILLUSTRATION

Illustration
La biblioteca de Carfax
In parallel to my work in the film industry I continued my interest in illustration. Since 2017 I have been collaborating with the publishing company La Biblioteca de Carfax, illustrating their book covers as well as their first illustrated book, Señoras victorianas: Fantasmas.
GWR & Famous Five
I am especially proud of the GWR and the Famous Five adverts and posters campaigns, from 2017 till 2022. I am responsible for setting the look and art directing a consistent production of posters through the years. Many of them are still in use and could be seen in train stations through UK.
FINE ART

Fine Art
In my spare time I love depicting small scenes from everyday life. I have a passion for the gastronomy and the life around the kitchen table. I like to draw food as a portrait of our unique identity.
Black and white pencil drawings and torn pages allows me to explore my art from a kid's playful joy.
